The Brand

Pulling On The Rope, pt. 2

For me, it was the toughest work I have ever done. I tried to quit several times. Some actually did quit during this process. Why was it extremely difficult? For me, as a woman, it was really painful to attack other people. You see, in improv, with no script, we had to come up with things during the scene and that mostly ended up being personal attacks on looks or size. We had to go until the person was totally devastated. Someone had to win. If we softened, which the girls tended to do, larry yelled, “kill him! kill him!”, metaphorically, of course, until we finished the person off, metaphorically, of course.

This brings me to my point, ladies. This is a tough world we live in. sometimes we have to pull on the rope. What that means to me in real life is refusing to soften if you are right and righteous in your goals and objectives and someone tries to stop you or stand in your way. In the face of adversity, we need to stand strong and never let up until the goal is met and the interference is fully blocked. That’s the way of the world. It was an invaluable lesson for me in building a brand, dealing with jealousy, living a worthwhile life. It is a concept all women must embrace.

Let me know how it goes. See you soon.
